Here's a few charms inspired by Schins. Now that I'm done with my Thesis I might have more time to make some more. If anyone has any good places to get unique and interesting beads/pendants let me know.

  1. I thought way too long and hard about this.

First I'll just tell ya what I did. Join up crafty places like craftser and etsy and read the forums/articles. Also jewelry/craft magazines. You'll find inspiration, how to stuff, and tons of vendors.
Then you drop kick micheals and jo-anns out of the way except for running out of supplies and sale/random stuff. Real bead stores are awesome and super shiny, but you may find your money drain very quickly (or not! they do have quality, cheap beads as well). Online, my favorite is http://www.firemountainbeads.com for EVERYTHING. Especially if you can make an excuse to buy fifty items, you save tons of mulas. I've been tempted to buy from http://www.artbeads.com/ numerous times. Can't go wrong with free shipping! Also etsy has a vast selection of hard to find beads/supplies. And if you ever get into fiber arts or need even more stuff to oogle at, I like https://www.joggles.com/

I know that was obscenely long. Just the tip of the iceberg!

  2. There is a bead shop near university, I think. A little pricey, but handy if you need some beads like RIGHT NOW.
I also get my swarovski crystals from ebay, you can get some good deals.
Props to firemountainbeads! I've gotten stuff from em too <3
